VoIP or Voice over IP - (Telephone Service)
Desert Winds Wireless is using the latest Motorola Canopy Wireless equipment. This wireless equipment is GPS timed and is designed for sustained consistency and reliability as the network grows. The GPS timing ensures that each wireless radio on the network is synched and each radio is given the proper time slice. The GPS timing, in conjunction with Cisco QoS services creates a network highly reliable and designed to carry VoIP service.
We are currently working towards offering VoIP services to our customers. We will be certain to notify you when VoIP is available from Desert Winds Wireless. We anticipate VoIP to be available sometime at the end of 2008.
The service requires no phone lines and no cable company connection. A small radio mounted on the outside of your house receives the wireless signal and brings that signal to your PC.
